How the site is put together

TruReview is two things joined at the hip, and it helps to know which half you are standing in.

The directory is the part with the cards. One page per person or per house: photographs, the cities she works, contact details, rates where she publishes them, and links out to whatever else she runs. That page belongs to her. She fills in the form, we check what can be checked and lay it out, and she can come back and change it whenever she likes. Nothing on a listing page is written by us about her, which is why the pages differ so much in length — some people write three lines and some write three paragraphs.

The board is the other half, and it came first. It is a forum split by city and by type — agency incall, agency outcall, independents, massage parlours, and the rest — and every word in it is written by members. That is the part nobody can buy. A house can pay for a banner. It cannot pay for somebody to say the visit went well.

The two halves are deliberately kept apart. A listing tells you what is on offer. The board tells you what happened when somebody went. Where threads exist about a listing they are linked at the foot of it; where none exist the page says so plainly instead of filling the gap with something vaguer.

Four cities, each with its own everything

Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver and Ottawa each have a directory page and their own set of review sections on the board. They are not tabs on one big list — a Montréal review goes in a Montréal section, and the city pages show you what has actually been posted in that city rather than a national feed with the city name pasted on top.

The cities are not at the same stage, and there is no point pretending otherwise. Toronto's sections carry most of what has been written so far. Montréal has started. Vancouver and Ottawa have listings but their review sections are still waiting for a first post, and somebody has to be first.

Free, and what that actually means

Listing is free while each city is built out. That is the honest phrasing and we would rather use it than the shorter one: free for now, not free forever. If that ever changes, everybody already listed hears about it well ahead of time, and nothing quietly starts charging.

Featured placement is a separate thing and you can ask about it. It moves a card up a page and it is marked as what it is. It does not touch the board, and no amount of it has ever produced a review.
